I am looking for a mauser 98 in 8x57. It seems that most are actually 7.92mm. I want one with a .323 bore so that I can reload for it. I Want to get a non-sporterized version since I already have a 1916 Danzig with a 30-06 bbl. Can anybody help?

don't let the 7.92 fool you.most 98 mausers have a .323 bore.any k-98,m-48,vz-24 or turk m-38 will have a.323 bore.early gew98 or pre98 8x57 will have the .318 bore.

The switch from .318 to .323 was made around 1905, as I recall.
