It's a good'un.

They were imported marked as AR 100 and MAX-2 until the 1989 Bush Sr. ban.
They are Daewoo K-2s.
Excellent rifles.

Here is a bit more information.

Thanks Byker, I have really enjoyed shooting it. I remember I took a lot of shit for it twenty years ago, it was going to blow up blah blah,. but i have it scoped and its a very accurrate rifle for a semi. I bought it mostly cause i wanted a .223 round rifle and it looked badass. It certainly looks like a K2, why the ar100 designation?

I think the AR 100 and MAX 2 (II ?) designations were something the various importers of the rifles and the factory came up with.
There were a few importers involved, I think.

My AR-100 is marked I.A.CO. SAC TO, CA.
Whatever the heck that means.

It's the importers mark:

IA CO SAC CA
IAC SAC CA

??Old Sacramento Armory??
Import Arms Co.
Sacramento CA

Appears to be for Old Sacramento Armory now Import Arms CO.

So Ive wondered for a long time.......how closely this rifle actually resembles the SK military issue rifle? a few parts in common?, a few parts missing?, different upper?, lower?

As I understand it, the only thing different from the SK military rifle is lack of full auto.

And all the markings/writing being in English instead of Han.
