I would trade this 100% fresh Harley XR 750 for "G" series FALs. If you know XR's you know whats put into this as far as money and time. It is perfect in every way and includes extras as off board starter, stand, and either magnesium 19" wheels or 19" spoke wheels.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cqgw1j0ZzOE

My idea of what Harley should have done!

Man really, really nice. I had a couple XR 1000's i did "HOT ROD" conversions on. I used a Lawwill frame on one and stock on second. I remember i used sleeved XR 750 cylinders with stroker plates i machined that looked like fins to make up for the longer stroke and have all alloy top end.

Thanks for the kudo's everyone. Still have the XR as well as a bunch of others that I've built. Lately I've been terrorizing the area where I live on my Z1000, yeah I know, all my friends are buying baggers and I'm on sport bikes!

Here's some more XR porn- ENJOY!

You all have started something with the old HD pics. See how many of you can give me the scoop on another piece of junk of mine like the heads and most of all the frame. I will report later. http://oi44.tinypic.com/b63wae.jpg

"Thunderheads", the first aftermarket, single carb, XR type heads.

Birddog, that's really what I want these days. Just that, maybe with some kinda lights to ride at night. A motor, frame, tank and seat and damned little else. Oh man, if that could be registered for street use! I'm at the age where my old riding buds are driving big old dressers, hell, one even called his an "old man's" motorcycle. Not me. I'm more inclined toward a Sporticus Minimus. You guys are so lucky.

You want XR's, you got XR's. This is just a few that are or have been mine with one XLR in this pic and i think one dual carb 1970 iron XR. The old bike above has "Thunder Heads" so you are correct and the frame is a 1966 KRTT "Lowboy" frame. This is a slip on the road bike that i put a total loss system on and it has a title.http://oi39.tinypic.com/15qywqx.jpg

Thanks BIRDDOG! That's a great pic. Man, you're killin' me with these XRs. Just for curiosity's sake, what would it cost to buy one in good running condition? No joke, I've lusted for one for so many years now. Here's a shot of my old HD, '75 FLH w/ mods, and me about 50 pounds heavier and 26 years younger, lol.
