I was watching a video where a shotgun competitor kept his spare rounds in a pouch around his waist and I though that the idea was rather ingenious. Does anyone else here know anything about these "pouches"?

For a less tacticool approach, these pouches are awesome. After I was issued one, I knew it would be what I use squirrel hunting. Shells don't make any noise, either. No reason to complain about the velcro being loud, because if you're reloading, you were already really loud.

i think the shell caddies are the shite and have been proven to be very fast in comp.

The cowboy shooting crowd has similar pouches & belt slides, in leather.

The Trap and Skeet crowd has been using shotshell pouches for years and years. I worked in two or three gun stores that carried Bob Allen shell pouches, and that was at least 30 years ago. The shell pouches weren't a new thing then. They're one of those things that have probably been around since breechloading shotguns were invented, or at the very most, shortly after that.
