Kevlar Plate Holders (Vests)

Won a couple GSA auctions recently. In one of the boxes were a few Plate Holders for Kevlar Trauma Plates. There are NO Trauma Plates (Kevlar) in these vests. They are only the cotton holders. Price is $7.50 ea + flat rate $5 shipping for one or more.

All appear to be in very good used condition at a minimum, but a couple look in excellent condition.

Do you know what kevlar these are designed for? Interceptor by chance?

I assume the Kevlar Trauma plates from the Interceptor system would fit in these, put the pockets look like they are cut for a plate that has side protection as well. These probably wouldn't hold the SAPI plates very well, if that is what you are asking. From some of the items in the lot I'm thinking these are from some sort of PSD.

They look like they are standard type soft body armor carriers. The first one looks like one of the old Second Chance concelable carriers. The second one has a tag but I couldn't read it.

I don't think the Kevalar out of an IBA is going to fit them.

Unfortunately that's all there seems to be. As these are very adjustable, the size dictates the plate size. A 42 would fit someone who is a 44, but there would be an inch on each side not covered. On our plate carriers, we velcro'd side plates to our plateholders in Iraq and Afghanistan to span that gap, as the seam between the front and back plates is a major vulnerability in itself, no matter whether it is 1/8" or 1".
