I picked up a yhm flash hider at the fun show in charlotte nc yesterday but no body had the jam nut. So i couldnt wait to install it i removed the fake flash suppressor and cut it down with a hacksaw right on the last rib line near the bottom. I filed it flat as possible and installed it back onto the rifle to use as my jam nut. It looks good in my opinion and transitions well from the barrel to the flash hider. Any body else tried this?
