Brioso wasn't charged in the incident...Gee, I would have thought that the ex-cop (who is married to a current cop, a captain) would get arrested in this incident. In other cases, in states with far less tough gun control, even when a student STEALS a relative's gun and brings it to school, there are calls for an arrest of the gunowner because he supposedly "let" his gun get stolen.

In this case, the idiot ex-cop allegedly put her .25 auto in her kid's backpack and forgot to take it out.

I'm starting to wonder whether there is a double standard...

ETA ... Below the article, I noticed this comment from "MarcDonato," one of the readers of the article:
