Is a AR-15 or M16 flash hider compatible with a DR200? I'm thinking about getting one of these and the 922r replacement parts seem ridiculously high...$50 each for a flash hider, piston, and pistol grip?

No, not really...

Same threads, different length...

No piston...

Different grip...

if you plan on getting your barrel cut and rethreaded, an ar15 one would look good. if you plan on removing your existing flash hider, the check nut would help cover up those long threads.

the easiest path to 922r is to replace the fire control group with an ar15 one and use a us made magazine. then you can use a us made stock and pistol grip.

I did have the barrel shortened on my 200, & re threaded AR-15 style. Now I have a big choice of cheap f/h's to use. I currently am using a 3 prong Vietnam era f/h. GARY N4KVE

I did the same, no exposed threads and any AR flash suppressor works
