Greetings CZ fans,

Question, I got a CZ-75 SP01, one of the best handguns on the planet IMHO, but I am having mag trouble. Buying them that is, the 19 rounders are really scarce and brutal expensive when CZ actually has them..Can my Sp01 take the regular 15rd cz75 mags? and also, anyone got a good source on CZ mags? and what are the best brands. Relying on you good CZ fanatics for some help.

Thanks,
Spider

Yup, I used 10, 15 rd mags all the time from my 75B. One small problem was not all dropped free. MecGar is also a source for mags.

The 19 rounders look badass in my standard 75. I'll check my sources for that mag. Pretty dry right now...

FYI dealer cost is $37.34 for authorized dealers for factory mags. That sale price is not out of line..... for factory mags.

I use MecGar mags.

I've used these: 16 round (http://gregcotellc.com/cart/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=97_130&products_id=590)

and these: 19 round (http://gregcotellc.com/cart/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=97_130&products_id=592)

for steel plate competition.

You won't be disappointed.

From everything I have heard on a CZ forum, Mecgar makes the magazines for CZ. And judging by the looks of my factory mags vz my MecGars I'm pretty sure they come from the same factory

I 'd agree with that.

The two 18-round magazines that came with my SP-01 don't match either the 16-round or the 19-round mags that MecGar offers as aftermarket equipment. Still probably MecGar though.

It looks like the dies used to form the tubes were made by three different suppliers. It may be that CZ owns the die for their OEM mags and MecGar has their own independent dies.

There are a lot of subtle differences. The internal components appear to be made in the same house though.

CDNN is another good source for CZ/Mecgar mags.

I second CDNN as a place to go for mags. Look for the Mecgar 17rders for a flush fit.
