My good friend got a nearly virgin surplus 30mm GAU- barrel from an A-10 Warthog. He designed and built a receiver for it and mounted it to a anti tank carriage. Check it out, too cool not to brag up:

In my book he just became a WECSOG master with this project. He reloads the 30x173mm rounds himself with tools he made! COOOOL!

I have a nearly perfect GAU-8 barrel and a partial design for a semi-auto receiver. It will take years but so did Matt's.

The weapons people changed the barrels on my A10a; they pulled the barrels and then cut the breach with an oxygen acetylene touch. Normally there are destroyed.

Yes, I understand they are quite hard to get.

Matt still hasn't shot it in the carriage, he has shot it a few times on an improvised platform just to make sure it fires. The dirt a 6000 grain projo at 2800fps kicks up is impressive!

I knew even stimpsonjcat would be impressed!

I have a butt-load of 25mm Bushmaster cases and links I'd *LOVE* to find a bbl for. Even if I hadda load ping-pong balls; would be kewl as hell ta run a belt thru.
