I always did like the looks of the Serbu. They just look good to me. They are also very light by 50 standards. With a 22" barrel you lose quite a bit of velocity though. If you don't care about 1000yd match shooting it doesn't really matter at all. That should be a gun that will give you lots and lots of '50 grins'. If I ever get another 50 the Serbu will be right up there at the top of my list. Nice gun, decent scope, congratulations!

Thanks ! The trigger is nice and clean with a break right at 4lbs. I love putting that snap cap in and and squeezing her off.

Those in the can are API - be careful if you shoot in a no campfire area, the A.E. looks like straight ball - you shoot that silver tipped stuff at steel plates on your range youre gonna be persona non grata VERY quickly - it IS AP!.

Congrats on the gun - Mark makes good ones.

Definitely API - pull one down and make sure it is loaded properly. Assuming it's 5010 - regardless of powder - 215gr on the low end 230gr highend do not exceed.

Just pulled two and each were 218gr.

FYI - most of the Mil I have pulled down is in the 235 range - it's meant to cycle the M2 and youre not likely to get M.O.A. out of milsurp it's loaded for "area" - not "point" :-)

The guy I bought this from said he had fired 63rds of this ammo and it performed really well.
I might get out and shoot tomorrow.

If you find/get any real Roufoss it is stolen/illegal. It has always been highly controlled. Spotter Tracer is almost as cool, and it is legal.

Not illegal to own... kinda like a PEQ.

Riff - what about contractors that bot a lot for a weapon trials? what about contractors that legally bot the stuff and went bk and sold assets off?

Just sayin'... is the shit expensive? damn straight! but so is a legit PEQ-2/15

does NOT mean it's stolen or illegal to own - it is NOT!.

It is my understanding that the scenarios you quote have not happened. Real 50 Roufoss has always been heavily controlled. Any that was sent to anyone had to be accounted for. Also there is something about if you have say 5 or more of the 50 roufoss the combined explosive in them puts one over some kind of limit. You guys do what you want. You can't say you weren't warned.
