That would be LASO not LAPD and they only get a demo model in the fall.

I really don't see this going anywhere except maybe prisons.....not very practical to wear all the time.

I think its a training tool.
Just like an electric dog collar deters certain behavior.
In this case its for training them not to scratch their balls in public.

Putting the gloves back on, is asking for an accidental discharge into your other hand.
Scratching your ear, too.
