I'm guessing Union of South Africa. That looks like a SA serial number.

I thought this may be the case, BUT I wanted it from the experts and that's what I wanted to hear! IT came with matching numbered bolt as well, all part of a SA kit, however the lower does not match the bolt and carrier but it is UM marked with UM barrel!

I also have a very very nice chunk of SA wood "C" butt stock! :biggrin:

I do however need a VERY NICE set of Handguards if any of you could/would help me out that would be SUPER!!

Isn't the "M" for Military? Why remove it? Unless maybe the rifle was transferred to another org.
