why do you doubt it's authenticity? i don't see any indication of tampering.

The modifications aren't anything all that difficult.
Especially, if you have the manufacturer working with you.
But, isn't that a K1 ?
yeah that's a k1. maybe they copied josh's (stormwerkz) design

Wow,
Looks pretty feasible, but also looks like a TAPCO gun. I'm really surprised that the eo tech isn't a knockoff and have hangool all over it. I can't see his badges but he doesn't look ROK Army so he could be ROK Air Force which might explain the K-1.

Look at the back of the scope rail near the top of the receiver, and where the buttstock joins the receiver it just looks weird to me like it's been tampered with.
Look just above the other guys hand which is below the buttstock, lighting and image looks photoshopped to me there too.
The angle of the rail looks wrong too.
It's damn good photochop, maybe I am wrong but I don't think so.
It looks cool though!!!
Would look even better with a CTR stock!!

I think the photo is real moses.
It looks like the guy's hand is resting on his thigh holster as he is walking.
I'm not sure about the receiver sight.
But, I don't know that I have actually seen any K-1s either.
It's a real pic and over 7 years old.

Just goes to show that governments aren't immune to the bubba syndrome either. That poor Daewoo's been bubba'd to within an inch of its life.

Bubba'd ?
The standard K-1 has a collapsing stock that supposedly was not strong enough in actual use. The AR type adjustable stock should be a real improvement.
There was no way to mount any kind of sights, lights, night vision, etc. on the standard Woo.
The rail forend/receiver mount on the soldier's rifle deals with that.
Not especially pretty though.

Apparently the stock is an evolutionary change. Or, something being tried out ?
Here is a link to Wikipedia where they have a picture of a railed up K-1.

The StormWerkz K1 stock adapters have been a good seller along with the railed handguards.

OK - I am not an expert but I do work in the print industry, so we deal with a lot of photo work.
Depth of field of the buttstock versus the close background, differential pixelation of the top of the rifle and accessories versus the equipment next to it on his chest, and light source consistency seems off....but hey...I could be wrong, and I will eat crow...yum,yum.

Must have just used a cheap camera, I have seen the setup in other photos in action.
There are a few ROK handguards here in the States but not enough to fill the bill, hence the StormWerkz K1 handguards.

Thanks Robmac, I agree I may be wrong and I am OK with that but the photo just looks weird.
Not doubting that there are Woo's in this configuration but the photo just looks doctored in the area's we both mentioned.

Photochop.
Look how he's holding it, like it's slung.
Now look at the rear sling loop.
StormWerkz
June 21, 2011, 13:10
It is slung, if you own a K1 you know the sling loop is located on the left side at the rear of the receiver.
You don't need to use the M4 stock sling swivel.
Maybe I am not getting the joke.
Is the sun photo-shopped in the sky?

Here is another pic of the handguard without the M4 stock adapter.
