View Full Version : belted ammo links - where sold?
April 28, 2011, 08:27
Where do the Class III guys buy their links for belted ammo?
What is a fair price for new and used links?
I'm trying to sell some on Gunbroker, and nobody is even LOOKING at my auction.
I must be doing something wrong.

Every time I buy 762 ammo it comes on links so now I have quite a collection going and I have no idea how to get rid of it.. I even offered it for free once, just pay shipping and not a single hit.

What my buddy did was fill the links with blanks to sell at gun show as wall decoration. Worked for him.
http://www.oldsargesdropzone.com/product.php?item=1103 for M27 links.
http://www.oldsargesdropzone.com/product.php?item=1104 for the &.62x51 links.

Change your auction title to " m13 links 7.62 308 m60 machine gun belt link " These may sell between one cent to five cents per link. Have your auction run for one to three days. Set your auction to auto relist. Your first bid will probably be your only bid received. About 800 links will go into a USPS medium flat rate box for $10.95 shipping. You will not make any money on this, but you may pay for your gasoline for the Post Office trip and maybe a cup of coffee. Check Gunbroker advanced search option for completed items, 7.62 link, to see what have successfully been sold.

After eating some postage, I think I ended up making about $5 on the batch.
