Firstly, I'm hoping to be joining your ranks here very soon.

Secondly, check this manufacturer (http://www.tech-sights.com/) out. They make sights for all types of firearms, including one that mounts directly onto CZ's proprietary 11mm dovetail. These aperture sights would make this rifle perfect, I believe. I wonder how it'd fair with the front sight?

Interesting.... Its for the rimfire, not the 527 though.

The 527 has the same 11mm dovetail rails as the rimfires. It'd only be a question of getting a front sight that would work.

The 527 takes 16mm rings IIRC.

The forward barrel mounted leaf sight makes for fast sighting. Not sure I'd want to give that up on this handy little rifle. Also better in lower light. Scout scoping one of these would be sweet. Too bad they didn't do a run in 5.45 x 39.

+++ for a 5.45 X 39!!
I'd be first in line to buy one.

My partner just got a 527 rebarreled to 6.5 Grendel. Cant wait to see how that shoots!

I looked them up on gunbroker and they do not go cheap. Not too many in 7.62 x 39 either. CZ makes some attractive rifles. I like the classic Turkish walnut and blue with iron sights.

Damn it. The 527 does have 16mm dovetails.

I've also thought about scout scoping it. I think the easiest way would be to fab a mount to fit into the rear sight dovetail.
