Not sure if this is the right place, but seen similar posts...

What sites do you guys like for mp3 files?

Somehow I think that Apple is inherently evil so I stay away from iTunes.

Would like one that you do the download and it's just an MP3 file, don't want to require a subscription or whatever.

Any advice appreciated!

I may or may not use torrents as featured in the above post. uTorrent may or may not be my preferred application.

I'd like to not bring the RIAA NAZI's down on me, are these sites 'legit'?

Buy your albums, it's a lot more tangible and you get great liner notes you can learn from.

The only legit sites are sites in which you pay to download. You can buy music from Amazon, iTunes (you can now download from iTunes in mp3 format), Napster (subscription based as well as purchase by song/album), Rhapsody (subscription based as well as purchase by song/album), Microsoft's Zune, MP3.com... a few more that I can't think of at the moment.
