Anybody have one of these?

I just love the weight, and balance of them, and the single set trigger....it seems like the perfect little deer rifle for the west side of the mountains in MT....I keep almost buying one, but then I don't; any first hand reviews around here?

You are exactly right, it is a sweet well balanced carbine. I have only shot one with the iron sights, accuracy was what I expected and recoil was very mild. It fed steel cased ammo without a problem too.

I need to get one for my Minnesote grandkid?
Right now, he ain't got nothing. (he's 16)
My lazy-azzed kid (who began to shoot when he
was about 7!) has decided he wants to get back
into it, but all he's got on hand is a .444 Marlin.
(don't ask - it was his money)
He had the nerve to ask if he could 'borrow' my
03A3!!
I'm willing to buy something they can both play
with and maybe even deer hunt with.
Y'all think the CZ carbine is a good possibility?

Well, it is pretty cheap to feed it right now.

'pretty cheap to feed, right now'
Well, yes, it is and I thought about that. I can
supply enough for them to play with while they
are getting friendly with the piece as well as a
few rounds when they're ready to get serious
about shooting some hapless deer.
(While I truly hope they'll succeed, I can't help
but wonder what will happen if they do. The last
time I know anything about him killing a deer (as
a teenager) he stood around talking a mile-a-minute
while his uncle and I dressed the damn thing)

Still.... he grew up to be a good man and he loves his kids.

My son has a 527 carbine in 7.62 x 39, great little rifle, good to 200 meters with a nikon 3-9x. Love the fancy trigger after I got used to it. It reminds me of an old 30/30 but is much more accurate. ammo is cheap and plentiful. Every one should have one of these. 223 is nice also
