Can anyone post a pic of an ace receiver block/folding stock installed on a FAL. It seems like it would not be as compact as an original folder package, but I couldn't find any good pics of it.

Isn't the ACE block the block that adapts an AR stock to the FAL? if so couldn't you put a collapsable stock in place?

Here's the Ace web site, there's a couple of photos that might help.

You DO realize the skeleton stocks come in three different lengths?

...and then there is the recoil pad - which comes in two different thicknesses

Here is the "receiver block" gizmo you have to install on your "non-para" receiver to convert it to accept the folding mechanism

Finally, you need the hinge assembly to put it all together as a folder.

FWIW, the Argy buttstock is 10.5" from receiver to the business end of the metal buttplate.
The AK is wearing an ACE 8.5" stock.
(pardon that black electrical tape - it just keeps an improvised sling attachment from flopping around)

Thanks WEG, not really new info to me though. I was looking to compare the ACE hinge/receiver block combo to the original FAL folder and wanted to see if anyone had pics of the ace folder/receiver block installed on a FAL. I already have an ace on a saiga and i like it a lot.

how does the adapter fit up to a DSA reciever fit wise.

I believe one of the advantages of the Ace adapter is that you can use the orginal sliding rear sight.
