Not a great surprise that the government wants to control news content.
Every other communist country gets to.

Funny how he aims at both ends of the false political paradigm. Trying to look moderate........ When in fact he and his family are neck deep into the ruination of our country.

We could lose both MSNBC and FOXNEWS and end up actually pouring even more folks into the alternative news that is gaining more popularity every day. That would truly be unexpected consequences if so. But he's just showboating.

It's very telling what the voices of "free speech, tolerance, and open mindedness" have to say about it.

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=102&topic_id=4619283&mesg_id=4619283

It's odd, the folks on the right ask for a news man that knowingly runs a false news story about GW's service record to be fired and they go nuts about "free speech". They see a lefty suggest that a news channel be taken of the air and they are giddy with glee. Very telling indeed.

Wow, just wow.

The sad part is that he isn't alone.

The worst part is that NOBODY in the room challenged his call for censorship.

Dear Sen Rockefeller,

I thought we had heard the last of you Standard Oil bastards trying to screw up the world, when "Rocky" died with Megan.

Sooooo----A US Senator, who feels that the 1st amendment is just too inconvenient? Holy shit!!

Maybe the cannibals in New Guniea ate the wrong Rockefeller!!!

Believe me, NOBODY ever really trusted you, you sob, and apparently, for very good reason.

Now that all yourSoros/Obama style planning has gone into the crapper, at least temporarily, since last election day, maybe you and your forces of darkness ought to just strike the USA once and for all---- get it over with!!!

I'll bet that you, along with your James Bond style "Spectre organization"-an international cabal of financial criminals, had a plan ready to go!!! I'll bet you were going to use that guy from Kenya, as a front man!!

Do you have a gold suit? Or maybe one of those grey "mau" suits I saw in those spoof movies?

Anyway, I'm glad you have had it with the constitution once and for all.

Of course your West Va constituents who just elected Joe Manchin might disagree with you.
Oh, I realize that you never set foot in that 3rd world state you "bought", as a "simple" land to get elected from.

Do you have Megan Marshaks, phone number?

I hope you have as bad a case of foot and mouth disease as it appears you have, as we await you next "act" with bated breath.

You are simply an asshole, and I dismiss you as a peasant of the worst order.

He's more alone than he can imagine... I think it's just the opposite: Most politicians wish they had the power to censor. They agree with him.

Again, nobody challenged him.

What if he had said that FOX and MSNBC should carry kiddie porn 24/7? We ALL know that he would have been boooed from congress. But as far as I'm concerned, what he advocated was just as repulsive: Censorhip. But nobody challenged him.

The lack of confrontation speaks volumes about the current state of our Constitution.

J.Rockefeller's unscripted thoughts show a vast gulf between his elite class world and those he deigns to represent with his brand of noblesse oblige,,, his aspirations for the common man are political and the common man ever being his equal is impossible, West Virginians must have there heads up their ass when they have to import wealthy patricians to persuade their worries,,, he's as West Virginian as Obama is American.
