Local Double Homicide-Suicide

Last night, a local female deputy gets into a domestic with her husband of about a year. He beats the crap out of her, breaks her arm and some ribs. She leaves her two children (not his), ages 8 and 15, in the house with him to go next door to call 911. While she is gone, he shoots and kills both of them and then shoots himself. Don't know if it was her duty weapon or another. Details are sketchy. I'm getting what I can from the news and my ex-SIL(another deputy).

Hubby had probably never offered any threat to her kids. Possibly quite the opposite. Also, after the beating she got, she may have been a bit "distracted".

Hubby was the real slimebag. Whatever his initial reason for "going off" on the wife, killing the kids was beyond any possible excuse or justification.

He was a paraprofessional at a local elementary school. She is the SRO at the Jr. High School my grandson goes to. Another contributing factor, she might weigh 90 lbs. I have never understood agencies putting women this size in uniform and on the street. There is no way she could take an average sized man one-on-one. When she has her Glock and cuff case on her belt there's no room for anything else.

New info. They had been married longer than I was told. The 15 year old boy was hers by a former husband. He was in junior high with my grandson. The 8 year old boy was his and hers. They were killed with a pistol the shooter owned, not the mother's duty weapon. All 3 bodies are at the crime lab in Atlanta for autopsy.
