I had not heard of the Paycheck Fairness Act until Pat Buchanan brought it up in his editorial today. This is not too much different than the UK paycheck act with checks going to the gov. first. This is even more ominous because employers will have to defend themselves, with expense, from those of any minority claiming wage discrimination. Welcome to the the new Amerika. The crap just keeps coming.Let's hope this does not pass.

This doesn't sound like the UK law. Nothing about paychecks going to the govt., at least from Buchanan's description. More about .gov monitoring private employers for pay discrepancies between male and female employees doing "equivalent" work. Sounds like an excuse to establish another federal agency full of thousands of previously unemployed (unemployable?) members of disadvantaged and demographically-challenged voting blocs.

In view of the Orwellian names popularized in recent legislation, the mere title, "Paycheck Fairness Act", ought to strike fear in the heart of any honest person still above ground.

Yeah, well, I think it is a bad thing. You seem to think the opposite, given the sarcasm I'm getting from your post.
