Hey guys,

I'm looking for a semi-auto rifle in .22WMR, that should take box magazines.

As Ruger's 10/22 WMR got discontinued several years ago, I wonder if there are still any decent .22WMR autoloaders out there that don't break the bank.

Look for a Marlin 922M. They don't make them anymore, but show up on GB now and again.

Looks like Magnum Research is also selling one that looks like the Ruger 10/22.

Anybody got any experience with that ?

CZ BRNO ZKM-611 would be my choice for a semi 22 mag. Out of production and not cheap. I shot one once, it was stellar.

Just curious, what would one do with such a rifle that couldnt be accomplished just as well by a .223? I had a .22LR/.22mag revolver once... the ammo was pricey then and there was nothing I needed the mag for that wasnt better served by a .38spec. Maybe this round would be a (bit) quieter for jack-lighting but an auto would be unnecessary for that...

This thing is kool :D

Though heavy at 8lbs, it handles pretty well.
Havent shot one, just fondled it at the gun shop.
Only bummer is the only mags available seem to be 9rds.
If they used a steel liner alum barrel instead of that strait stainless blank and cut the weight down about 2lbs, I'd buy one just for shits and grins.

There were some urban areas around Phoenix where you could only hunt with a rimfire or shot gun per law. The coyotes were thick in there and I would have passed up some good opportunities if I stuck to the shotgun only.
