Other than a certain birth certificate this must be the best kept secret in the U.S.

1 Million Gallons of Oil Spilled in Michigan, Kalamazoo River

BTW: It's already found it's way to Lake Michigan.

Old news...
Already well thru the cleanup stage.
It was contained in a relatively narrow creek.

Check this.

"While he said that the site of the spill was a wetland -- which has a natural clay barrier that prevents water from seeping too far into the ground -- Calhoun County Health Officer Jim Rutherford said there was a concern that the magnitude of the spill could spell trouble for the area's water supply. "

Wetland where the leak was. Hmmm. EPA has some serious limitations on what kind of things you can do to a pipe in wetland designated areas. Like close interval corrosion surveys, visual inspections on the ground for leaks, stuff like that. They want to "minimize" the destructive intrusions of humans into environmentally fragile areas. Wonder if they like this better? It getz mo' better. If water pools up on your right of way and a SINGLE cattail grows, you better hope nobody else sees it. Even if it dies that year and don't come back, that area and a significant "buffer" zone can get declared a wetland and you can forget about regular surveillance in there.

Wherever did you get that idea?

The Kalamazoo is no creek.

The guy I heard about it from saw it up close and personal like, dead waterfowl and all.
They even offered to confiscate his camera if he took any pictures.

It ain't drugs - it's genetic, I'm afraid.

Drugs only make him vocal; otherwise he'd be staring at a wall of rage . . .

Which is the better choice (for us?).

I find him entertaining in a leftist and insite-ful way. (Not a spelling error in this case).

I dunno that g's a leftist any more than I am, on account of his not drinking the republican koolaid. Doesn't look like he's any more fond of the opposite wing of the bird of prey than I.

I read him as a sort of iconoclast, and my bottom line is that he's the Files' Jim Ignatowski.

It ain't the Gulf of Mexico...
They acted about 10K times faster on this than hussein and company did in the Gulf. I see dead waterfowl too. My Chocolate Lab brings them to me.

Actually I think they just got a lot better at hiding the truth after all the practice they got in the Gulf.
