http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1295617/Gurkha-ordered-UK-beheading-dead-Taliban-fighter.html
A Gurkha soldier has been flown back to the UK after hacking the head off a dead Taliban commander with his ceremonial knife to prove the dead man’s identity.
The private, from 1st Battalion, Royal Gurkha Rifles, was involved in a fierce firefight with insurgents in the Babaji area of central Helmand Province when the incident took place earlier this month.
His unit had been told that they were seeking a ‘high value target,’ a Taliban commander, and that they must prove they had killed the right man

This is considered a gross insult to the Muslims of Afghanistan, who bury the entire body of their dead even if parts have to be retrieved.
British soldiers often return missing body parts once a battle has ended so the dead can be buried in one piece.
Wouldn't want to make them angry now, would we?

GOOD FOR the Gurkha!!-maybe a few more heads should go missing....little hard to go see allah and molest your 70 virgins when you only have a bloody stump to talk out of... ALSO maybe it will give some of the a holes 2nd thoughts about suicide bombings, etc. Go find the head ,wrap it in bacon then let it sit a day or so before disposing of in whatever way seems appropriate.
I just cannot believe these characters.......and for a while the arab /middle east area was known for some great inventions and discoveries in math and science.........THEN THEY FOUND Mohammad/Islam/Allah,etc and they stopped advancing and they consider the act of killing people as a suicide bomber to be a noble thing......in my book committing suicide gets you a ticket to the fire pit...
Ashcanistan will never be a cohesive country...weve been there 10 years.......so were the soviets.......and the british......just leave the turds to themselves.
I will say I do feel sorry for the truly honest innocent people who would like to better themselves but are held back due to Islams stupid code-s of BS.....
Rant off-sorry

In the comments at the bottom, "If they are so concerned about being buried in one piece why do they blow themselves to bits?"

Anyone remember the title of the Gary Cooper movie where he played a soldier fighting in the Philippines during the Spanish American war?
There is a scene where his native troops are scared shitless of a Muslim prisoner that he is going to question. So Cooper's character threatens the prisoner with being buried in a pig skin whereupon the Muslim freaks and crumbles into quivering jelly.

A wicked thought but appropriate in this case. Kudos!

Myth. Gurkhas use them for all sorts of work besides killing.

Not true, I'm afraid - the Gurkhs use them for chopping/trimming wood, too:

I tend to become a tad insulted myself when some of their people fly our civilian planes into our civilian buildings, so I could GAF if their feelings are bent.

Don't go nuclear go Gurkha.
Watching a Gurkha eats peas off his knife blade is very entertaining.

A Ghorka cutting off an enemy's head is big news to the British Army? Since WHEN? The khuks came out in the Falklands and no one said jack except the Argies, who were quoted as saying " ˇfuncionamiento LEJOS! " or words to that effect. What a crock.
Partial to the khukri myself, and not just the little ones issued to British Ghorkas. Not as strong as i once was, but God help whatever i hit with it.

Hmmm. If no camera were available, how else was he supposed to prove it?
No punishment is warranted!
Too much creeping PC for a military force which once frequently hung rebels and established concentration camps to deal with Guerilla Fighters and their families.

On one of my trips to the sand-box, I ended up as liaison to some of the Gurkha security contractors working the British. The local Iraqis were absolutely shit-scared of Gurkhas, and well aware of the khukris reputation. I used to watch Gurkhas in their 40's and 50's doing PT runs in 115 degree weather. Tough SOB's. Frankly, I was more confident in the Gurkha contractors than some of the Brit military that were supposed to be protecting us.

BTW, You've never partied, until you have partied with a bunch of Gurkhas getting ready to leave Iraq after a two-year tour.

Let him go - don't be stupid.
Get the politicians out of this war they created and let the military do the work they were sent to do.

Nothing is wrong with it, except it's not PC. You know, like the US was in VN. Where we could not fight to win.
You have to dictate the terms to the enemy. If he does that to you, you have at least lost the initative and very possibly the war.
Burying the mooslimbs in pigskin suits is an idea I like. Let them meet Mohammed dressed like that. It'll go over really well. And be very encouraging to his (still) alive buddies. But that's just me and I'm not very PC. Sorry.

It may be The Real Glory from 1939. It wasn't rated very well, but if it was rated in 1940, times have changed (due to the message of the movie) and it may be better received now. I think I will see if I can find it.
Thanks.

PSYOPS. It works great on the feeble minded and liberal of thinking... Fear is an effective weapon. Of course liberal thinking does not grasp the fact that these terrorists do not belong to an organized Army and subscriber to the Geneva Accords.

There's some good psychological warfare to put the fear in those savages.
Remove and burn the heads of all enemy dead.
Bad morale for the enemy when they believe that if they die fighting us, they won't have a head in paradise.

Sans having another method of pos Identity explained to him I have no problem with this - afterall, the head in question belonged to a man that followed a path that believed it was OK to do it to the LIVING - oh well..
J - you gotta grow thicker skin - they behead one of yours - you boil 10 of THEM in PIG FAT and deliver them back in pieces - gotta understand your enemy.

Oh, shit. Another pampered American who thinks everyone on this mudball is just like us, and we're all people inside.
Communication requires a sender, a symbol, and a receiver.
If the message is to be understood, the symbol has to be something both parties understand.
This is a symbol they understand.
I support this excellent example of advanced cultural awareness.

Juanni believes in flower power. If everyone cooperated, it would work, the problem is, no one cooperates in the real world. Kind off like communism and Socialism, it is a failure at best but some people just don't believe it and keep giving it a try.
If you've ever smelt or seen death, you would not want to be around something like this but war is ugly, the only rule is to win at all cost.
No one messes with the bad boy on the block, the gentle one is ignored and or taken advantage of, this is the way it is and it is unfortunate.

Actually, if we cut all their heads off the enemy would be gone...the war would be over. I think that's called victory. Maybe I missed something other than political correctness and image. F'k that, just win, it's a war, they die, you live, you win, they lose, you make the rules, they live by them.

No Juanni, not for it, you assume much. I am all for dead enemy, how they get that way does not matter during the fight. US Soldiers do not behead as you flippantly suggested in an old thread (which I believe you are refering to). Besides, there are many ways to lose one's head on the modern battlefield.
Mutilation or execution after the fact is a waste of valuable time and energy.

Hacking off heads of the deceased is surely the path to victory.
Hacking off the heads of the fanatical deceased Muslims and feeding them to the hogs is surely the path to victory.
Fear seems to work on some Americans too,,, hopefully not that many that will relinquish their tradition and do a Islamic accommodation.
Conversely some fear of a unknown quantity provokes a nothing left to lose response,,,, ying and yang,,, and I can never remember which is which.
Most wars I have read about were started because somebody thought somebody was afraid of them,,, or could be made so,,, that's what our enemies think of us and it primes their pump.
So we'll just have to kill'm.
Hope this ends the confusion,,, Gurkha's seem not confused in the least.
And they never have to hack off the same head twice.
