This homeowner did it right...he was prepared and let the scum have it.

COOPER CITY, Fla. (WSVN) -- Cooper City Police are searching for three subjects who are caught on camera impersonating FBI agents during an attempted home invasion.

The three men are seen on camera walking up to a Cooper City home shortly after 4 a.m. Monday, wearing shirts with the letters FBI on the back.

Once the three men make it to the front door, two of them try to pry open the door with a crowbar while the third acts as a look-out. When they are unable to get thru the front door, they tried a window, but this trio had no idea the homeowner was inside and waiting for them with a pistol.

The homeowner opened fire and the three suspects took off. The two men barely make it back to their newer model, mid-size, silver sport utility vehicle Mercedes Benz before the third takes off.

All three men were wearing baseball hats and T-shirts. They also had badges around their necks and some kind of fabric covering their faces.

If you have any information on this attempted home invasion, call Broward County Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS. Remember, you can always remain anonymous, and you may be eligible for a reward.

Me thinks that the real Effa Bee Eye will be having a long look at that video.

I knew a federal corrections officer who got fired from the Bureau of Prisons because of his mental problems. He then decided to impersonate a FBI Special Agent. That little stunt cost him five years in a federal prison.

And so it goes.
