Actor Daniel Radcliffe of Harry Potter fame announced his bid for the hotly contested Wisconsin Senate seat currently held by Russ Feingold.
In an unprecedented display of support for a foreign national the Tea Party announced it’s endorsement of Mr. Radcliffe today.
When asked about their decision to support a non-citizen for a Congressional seat a Tea Party spokesperson stated that:
“The precedent has previously been set by the democrat party.”
They further stated that:
“After two years of his being present in the Senate it’s our intention to support Mr. Radcliffe for the Presidency.”
In answer to Mr.Radcliffe’s qualifications it was stated that:
"He is a proven leader who can obtain consensus and thinks outside the box."
When questioned about his apparent inexperience and naiveté the spokesperson asked:
“Yeah, what’s your point?”
When asked to what they attribute Mr. Radcliffe’s meteoric rise in popularity and why they think he can defeat Mr. Feingold in 2010 and President Obama in 2012 they said:
“He is currently in possession of Nancy Pelosi’s transportation and Obama’s magic wand, he’s a shoe in.”
