....... It's awesome that the inhouse left gutter scum that usually smells up the place has been adrift and silent. Makes for a clean house , and it does not smell in here like it did !. Go lord oblahma and Darth bite me...you go bitches !.

The atmosphere has been more pleasant of late.
The left wing philosophy was never an issue but the blatant trolling and childish retorts designed to disrupt conversation and start arguments is not missed.

Let's see if my current theory holds true here.
(Every time I post something - the thread is killed . . .)
gew98 - you are correct in your observation; the board may be quieter, but the discourse much more palatable.
Best!

I enjoyed hearing Bill's side of things. Yeah, he's a smartass, but a lot of truth is spoken in jest, as General Stonewall Jackson remarked to Jeb Stuart once.

Bill would just love to hear that response - he probably re-enacts talking to a stone wall every chance he gets . . .
(Is that *really* your picture in that avatar?)

No, it isn't me! It's a dude off *The Biggest Loser*. :D He did really good.
Yeah, I can see how Bill would relate to my previous post, being the Civil War aficionado he is.

Here, I'll help you out since your desperate to be insulted by
someone pretending to be a Trial Lawyer. All you racists need
to go read Nixon Land, there ya happy?
No I don't miss Bill, at all. Funny that his alter egos Mule, alant
Wiley, Sailor and a couple others are rather quiet too.

If you enjoy that viewpoint just read the Daily Kos and the DU.
They are the source for the rhetoric, catchwords and insults that were repeated here.
No doubt there have been a few new shallow insults and childish gibes that you haven't been privy to so you'd best to hurry before you get too far behind.
Rumor has it there's a test on Monday.

Gary
I was at a wedding yesterday and the wife says 'here check this out'
must be someone from the area. It was the tailpipe Billy pic, I almost
spit my drink out. I told it was a pic of a former member at FF.

Bill was quick to blame others for the downhill nastiness and childish behaviour but it seems he bears a great deal of responsibility for that with his constant baiting. ( Yeah, we rose to the bait, so there's plenty of blame to go around.Overall, the attitude here seems much more pleasant than it has been for awhile. Hope it stays that way.
As to missing his viewpoint, I disagree. Bill would never sit down for an intelligent conversation or try tosupport his points with facts. Invariably if his "victims" did their homework and brought enough facts to the table, Bill would bail out. I learned not to dislike Bill, but I never did learn to like his style. Some say his is a personable and likeable gent if you meet him in person, and I find that easy to believe, but that doesn't make me miss him here even a little bit.
Funny how all the alter egos vanished nearly the same time, eh :D Looks an awful lot like an artificial support group was in action !!!

I tend to agree, either they found courage in numbers, or they were all one in the same...

I don't believe that anyone can be "blamed" for defending themselves.
No one should have to endure abuse.

I have no problem with people who disagree with my politics. I just want them to hold up their end of the argument without getting personal. Bill rarely, if ever, did that. He simply called you a name, waited for you to explain your position even more clearly, then called you another name. that is not an argument, and that became tiresome for me. Not the well thought out arguments...Unfortunately, those were far and few between. Other than that, Little Billy was fine.

No problem with the defense, nor trying to defend Bill, but a lot of the rancor was ( IMHO ) caused by the vehemence and childishness that the defense sometimes sank to out of frustration. I found myself doing the same on many an occasion before I realized that simply ignoring him not only saved my blood pressure, but cut off the source of his energy :D
I think Randall put it far better than I did
I'm just sorry I missed the infamous "tailpipe" post !!!!

Good riddance to bad rubbish!
Tailpipe Billy only posted to piss people off. Period.
I don't remember him ever engaging in reasoned debate. He would either throw a bomb, without ANY intention of opening debate and engage in name calling, or post insults and bullsh*t to others who posted and wanted to discuss something.
The noticable absense of the other lefties is suspicious, especially "da mule" whose login is still sometimes shown on the forums but he doesn't post?
They are either sheep who herd together, or cowards as leftists are wont to be, or the same person.

I was pressing English Mike about this very issue in an thread in DB and before I knew it the thread was trashed and never did find out if an IP address check did show the same or different.

It appears you are all crazier than I thought. Seek help.
Hope that helps.
Actually, Owl said he talked to him, and he's been working a lot. And he left the files because it had gotten too crazy. I thought he was dead.
Too crazy for Bill.
I hope you're proud of yourselves. Maybe he'll still die.
