Folks - I need a couple of belt holsters for the Sig 225/P6. My son and I are signed up for a pistol class, and they want us to have a belt holster to fit our practice pistols. My son has a P6, so I figured I would also take mine. Thumb break would be nice, but for this class probably not necessary. Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Don Hume #30 3 1/2" works fine for me. It was about $45

I've used the one that Sportsman's Guide was selling that is for the P6 (plainclothes issue?). Manufactured by Akah and is dark brown and has a thumb break (and made in right and left hand versions). The only thing I wish was different would be that it completely covered the slide and muzzle. But the P226 (and I imagine the P228) can be carried in this holster as well.

I like the Fobus. No threading over your belt but pretty secure.

Thanks for the leads, gentlemen.

I used the Fobus during Range Master school at SigArms Academy. It worked very well and was both secure and comfortable.

I use only (pretty much) Safariland SLS type holsters, keeps the draw style consistent across the spectrum.

If you want the safety I'd try Serpa other wise I'd get a good Kydex holster by either Comp Tac. Blade tech, or Uncle Mikes.
I personally don't use rivited holsters for weapon retention reasons.
