I've been on the hunt for a H&R 999 but this was $100 OTD with a 550 box of Remington cyclones so it will do.

I have both types- an H&R 999 Sportsman top break .22 and an H&R model 922 solid frame (which is very similar to the gun in the pic, except mine is a 4". I was amazed at the number of parts that are interchangable between to 2 types. The Cylinder assy is the same, at least on mine- the 922 has the same ejector star/ratchet as the top break, even tho it is not used as an ejector. Each gun has one fault, not the same fault, though. The top-break loses it's rear sight frequently and the 922 does not reliably fir one chamber, even when swapping cylinders (which otherwise works ok) and with another cylinder that I picked up separately (along with a couple of spare rear sights for the 999).
