Has any one heard of a 12 Ga Mitchell "Sabre" shotgun? it seems to come with 2 barrels, 22" and 28" , and a lot of chokes . It is supposed to be reasonably priced . Yes , it's semi-auto.

Ity's made in the USA , precisely in CA. I searched the net but didn't find a lot of info, specially info related to people who owned one.
The specs are good, but not much on it. Chrome barrel and guts(bolt , piston etc,) in a machined steel reciever.
You can take a look at it, a lot of toys for it too.

Where did you get that info? I'd put money on it being Turkish. Mitchells is an importer, not manufacturer.

The receiver looks a lot like the Tristar shotguns........made in Turkey of course. Not that it is bad.........actually a damn good shotgun.

Maybe you ought to hitch a ride with Slow and come shoot some skeet with it???

Nothing like holding one in your hands while it recoils against your shoulder!!

Think you will be surprised that for the money its a well built shotgun that shoots!!

I would be shickled titless to ride over and do that. I got an 870 that shoots pretty keen on clays. If I am doing the shooting the birds all need to be leaving. Crossing shots I ain't much punkin'.

Gotta get Slow to leave off the playin with hisself for a weekend though.

That's the kind of talk I needed to hear, Futher digging proved you right , it was an import, no longer brought here, and yes Turkish....Thanks to you all for info, now to see if the owner takes my offer.

Don't know what your offer is, but you can find the currently imported Tristar on Gunbroker for cheap........might have to wait a few out till the prices get right, though.

Good Luck!

Ok, here is an update, I found another source for the Mitchell shotgun.
I went here: www.cdnninvestments.com, and found in their catalog an offer for a shotgun with 22" bbl and 2 external chokes + one 28" bbl with 5 internal chokes for $279 plus shipping.
It is made in Turkey, if it is half decent I should have done ok for a semiauto.
If it shoots the way it looks I will be very happy. Will try it this weekend.
