Looking to get a new pipe for my Rem 700 .308 Thinking of a polygon type rifling. Plan to go with a 10 twist. Would appreciate anyone's personal experiences or first hand knowledge of someone's elses experiences with polygonal rifling in a rifle...primarily accuracy, cleaning, longevity..
Thanks

My only experience was with a H&K SL-7 in .308. It was easy to clean, and accurate.

1x11 3 groove Benchmark barrel. This barrel has canted lands and is hand lapped so it doesn't have much if any fouling to speak of. Very accurate!

Did I mention I make these at Benchmark?

I have a Rock Creek (Mike Rock) 5R barrel on my Remington .308; it drives tacks and doesn't foul at all! If I can't put 5 rounds of Federal GMM (or comparable) in one ragged hole, it's not the gun's fault!
