Not every clip, but every 3-4 clips the rifle ejects the clip while it still has 3-4 rounds in it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

The most common reasons for that malfunction are weak clip latch spring and worn clip latch.

Which fix worked? The new clip latch spring, or thinking about baseball?

It's a condition known to shooters as "Premature Ejectulation"

Most "Shooters" experience this condition at sometime or another. :(

Garand Shooters know this condition as a lack of "PING"!

Sorry! Compulsive disorder meds not workin'

My first CMP M1 had that exact problem - every 3 or 4 clips.

I replaced the op-rod spring because it was worn out, and it fixed the ejectulation problem as well.

Not the usual fix, but it worked for me on that rifle.

I thought it just didn't like the taste of the ammo you were feeding it...

A common problem with younger or more inexperienced Garand shooters. Learning to make all parts fit together correctly will eventually cure that malady. Ron

It happens with Greek but not with KA. Looks like I'll hit up Fulton Armory for an extra power clip latch spring.

I only put NOS Mil spec springs in my Garands. I tried a op rod spring that was extra strength and I had feeding and ejection issues. I went back to a new old stock op rod spring and it went away.

Each to his own as YMMV.
