Need FAL work done in the Denver area

I'm looking for a smith or the like who can do some relatively minor FAL work in the Denver metro area. Specifically, checking/adjusting headspace on a few FALs, and fixing up the crown/threads on one. Thanks.

North of Denver about 30 miles is one I would stay away from. i.e. don't go there. Maybe someone from the Files here in the Springs. Ftierson, or jerrymrc maybe ????? You might check fal groups-colorado, here on the files.:fal:

I can check headspace and if need be swap out the necessary locking shoulder (if you have or can provide).

I can also do the barrel work (cut, crown, thread) however I have to remove and re-install the barrel to do so.

I am going to be working on a rebuild over the winter and am northwest of Denver in the People's Republic.. who might this be so I can stay away? :) You can PM me if you do not want to say publicly..

Who is available and is recommended in the Denver area? or north of town?

Hey Visible Toes.
I'm new to the files. So far I've had mostly good results from the Files.
I'm in Parker CO so we aren't that far apart.
I met the guys from HICKMAN RIFLES at the last Tanner Gun show. They are located in the CO Springs area.
Their ph # is 719-633-4680.
I just dropped off my L1A1 barrel assy to have them thread and retime the barrel/ site.
I've talked to them personally and they seem knowledgable, friendly and very reasonable!
For the money, I couldn't find anybody more reasonable or willing to help!

You could even take the rifles to the Tanner Gun show this weekend, drop them off and pick them up later or what ever you choose.
I felt that their price of counter to counter completely re-park was very reasonable w/ full disassemble and reassemble!
I can't quote for them but you might give them a call.
