Not any longer, unfortunately.
My E2 stocked M1a was a victim of the NYS gun laws years back.
I always thought the E2 stock absolutely made the rifle what it was, for me much nicer than a non PG model.

I have one used it for awhile but went back to the origonil wood stock, I have been trying to sell it but no takers I paid over two hundred for it and will probably end up in the burn barrel!

jrkoller, I can always use another E2 stock. PM me or e-mail me if you still want to sell it.

I don't know too much about m14s, but I definitly remember reading comments on multiple boards where people were talking about how badly they wanted to get their hands on one of those.

Burn barrel seems like an atrocity.

Sold to one hand clapping, because it was the first email I got.
I know I was a little harsh on the burn barrel idea but it helped to move it it is in good shape just a little bubbaed up

I have since obtained the muzzle stabilizer and put it on mine but have not shot mine with it yet. I too want a slotted handguard.

I've been heating my house with E2 stocks for a while now. That walnut burns fast, what with so much cosmoline and BLO. Since I ran out of Egyptian mummies it's all I can afford.

I have one. It would work best for me with a full auto gun though. That setup tames a 750rpm 7.62 better than anything out there!

Have the early 60's bronze brazed M2 Bipod. Springfield Inc. did not want to sell me the parts for the sling swivel mod-they wanted me to send them the bipod so they could install the swivel, which is easier than field stripping the rifle.

Had to argue with them to just get them to send me the parts and they probably would have kept my valuable original bipod and sent me one of their new repros. I hate Springfield Inc. customer service but love their old school all GI M1As from back in the day.

 Outstanding gun humor.

The last one I watched sell on Ebay went for $750.

Did it by any chance have a cheekpiece added, the vertical foregrip removed, & an "extra" sling swivel screw mounted using the folding handle's harware:eek:
I wondered who ended up with my old one:]

Here's the best deal I have seen in a long time. Not familiar with that particular recoil pad though.

If your gun was made before the federal ban, you can use that stock and keep all the other evil features, I hope you know this!

I have a Scout model and always thought it would have been nice had they used a E2 style stock. Some day ill do the swap when I save for it, maybe sock some combat pay away for it:D

I had a M1A with the E2 stock on it for a while. It was sweet, got lots of attention at the range, but it never did any better accuracy wise with the E2 stock on it, over the standard one.

The E2 stock just isn't the same without the little switch on the right rear of the receiver to rock n roll, and make the stock useful.

Here I am with my E2 set-up:

I tried it with the USGI slide-on break, but it really didn't tame the rise. I switched to the Smith Enterprise break and as you can see, it really works!

It also doesn't hurt to put a few thousands round down-range to get a person use to handling a full-auto M14 with either the E2 stock or regualr stock:

Now I do, back then I didn't, & nor did anyone else.
Yes, it was, a real Springfield Armoury, back when SA made good M1a's & no one would touch the korean ones with a 10 foot disinfected bargepole with a rat guard fitted.
There was no guarantee that the M1a would be exempted at the time. That + the once a machinegun, always a machine gun & the NYC rules (& enforcment of them) were a big deciding factor in letting it go.

I don't want to even remember the number of times I got the old fisheye from NYC cops in Suffolk county. (Where an NYPD badge & $1.50 will get you a ride on the bus.) Because of that rifle.
Shame really as it was a nice rifle, but the cut in the E2 Stock got me more "talkings to" by the likes of that POS Chronos, or whatever his name was that beat the gay guy darn near to death outside a bar in the Hamptons later.

But I learned from the experience. I'll keep my own council in future & lost a lot of respect for LEOs those times. Everything I own is pre-ban now & the NYPD can kiss my arse. (But only if I'm feeling really sorry for them, as a consolation prize.):uhoh:
