I am now and for certain Smitten with the CZ 75B Pistols..
Can't think of another Pistol I have liked so much so quickly..

Is it Love or Lust? I don't know for sure, but whatever it is I like it..

The OMEGA 75B W/Kadet kit continues to impress the hell out of me, the 75B in .40 is still running @ 100% and a joy to shoot..
Kinda sucks having to decide on running the 9MM or .22 LR Upper but I'll just have to grin and bear it..

You do not have as many as I do.

But, I am short the CZ75b 9mm now.:uhoh:

When you have a 23 year old kid, you find yourself missing a gun or two now and again.

But, I will have one in a week or so.

Great guns. I also have the CZ97 and the RAMI in .40

I really want the CZ75 Compact also.

I got talked out of my CZ40P by a lady friend a couple of years ago. Crap.

I might not have as many as you Bill...
BUT your a LOT OLDER .......

I'll have another, maybe a 97 Next as I don't need a compact since I already own a Glock M27..

Anyway these add a bit to the CZ82 and two CZ52's, plus the VZ58 I think is inbound and of course we can't forget about the VZ24 Mauser..

I think I'll get a nice family photo as soon as the VZ58 shows up..

I'm no good at posting pics, but I have a Nazi 32 auto CZ27 that means the world to me, my Dad brought it home with him from WW2. It's a very nice heirloom, even if it's just a beater .32:cool:

Oh Man do I like the 75D, & those grips are sweet!.. Did you buy those somewhere, and if so where?
Please tell me about the rifle, it looks very nice as well...

I know little (nothing really) of the CZ27, but I understand they are very good guns. Do you reload, as I think I have a handful of .32 AUTO brass..

The only CZ I have is a CZ 97B.
I do have a couple Witness pistols though.
And a .22 LR conversion that works just dandy on the Witness Match.
The CZ 97B is a very large feeling handgun.
The same magazines work in the .45 Witness which feels much more compact.
With the same magazines. Kind of odd.

How do you like the 97? Have you ever handled/shot a SIG P-220?
Thinking I might like another 45 ACP pistol and until the CZ's got my attention I had all but decided on the SIG.. However NOW I think it prudent to consider other options..

The CZ 97B FEELS very substantial and fits my hand pretty well.
But, if it was a SHTF grab-N-go situation, the SIG 220 would get grabbed first.
It is overall more compact, lighter and more reliable. The CZ, and the Witness are very fussy about OAL of the cartridges. They like them a tad shorter.
Like most things, it's a matter of taste.
I couldn't make up my mind so I have a variety.
The only disadvantage to the SIG is the lower magazine capacity. Ten for the CZ & Witness and 8 for the SIG. Unless you get the SIG ten rounders that hang a bit out of the magwell. Also, the SIG's alloy frame might be a longevity issue at some point way down the road. Maybe ?

I only shoot the CZ 27 every couple of years, maybe one or two mags, still working on a box of ammo from before 2004 when I stull lived in Mass. The CZ 27 was a small auto, six or seven (?) shots, fixed sights and a gritty trigger, at least on this one. But it has all the Nazi markings on it. Before my Dad died, I thought to ask him where it came from, as Dad was an MP in England and France. He said they were allowed two weapons as bring backs, he started out with 2 different ones when he got on the troop ship and came home with the CZ and an FN mod 22 in 32 auto. He said they were bored on the trip home and there was a lot of trading back and forth, flags, daggers, guns etc, this just happened to be what he ended up with. He couldn't remember what he had started with. So, none of that,"pulled it off a dead Kraut after I wrestled him hand to hand" kinda stuff, but still my little piece of WW2 and my Dad:beer:

The grips were made by Hakan Pek in Norway. Each set is custom made so you needed to place your order and wait your turn. He has a forum here http://www.czforumsite.info/index.php?board=45.0 with all the necessary contact info.

The rifle is a CZ452 Full Stock aka a Mannlicher style stock. It is short and handy and has an 11mm rail for scope rings. I particularly like the raised comb because of my giraffe like neck ;). A guy was walking around with it at the Manchester gunshow last fall. It had less than a box shot through it and included two extra magazines. $300. About a week later he contacted me with seller's remorse. Oh, well. :D

BTW, I like the way some of the New England contingent are taking over this thread.

if you like 1911s, you'll like the CZ 40B I found a CZ-40B at a great price and fell in love with it. If I ever run across a CZ-40P at a decent price, I'll buy one of these as well.

It's lust, pure unadulterated lust.

My next handgun purchase, probably next year, hopefully, is gonna be a 75 compact in .40, I also want a Kadet kit for my 9mm.

Now then, you also need a P-07 Duty, ugly as it may be, you still *need* one...

Being a lefty & living in the land of no handguns(unless you're a felon of course), I lust after an 85.

I know many denigrate "bling" when applied to firearms but Cz does a VERY nice line in engraving: http://www.czub.cz/katalogy/katalog_rytin_pistole_en.pdf

The Lust is strong Young Luke Skywalker...
I will have another CZ but prolly not the P-07, I'm sure it's a great pistol but it's just too fugly.. :p

Mike~
It must suck being in the land of no handguns, that would be impossibly tough to deal with for me..
But when you move to the FREE world the CZ85 will be an awesome choice.
I think an 85 would make a sweet Match pistol, Carry piece, or a Range gun..
The Ambi controls are a very nice touch no doubt possibly improving an already terrific gun.. The CZ85 would be a great addition to anyones collection...

I love my 75B almost as much as my 1911's. I shot a CZ40, too Glocklike for my taste. I also tried the 97, it was nice, but not a 1911.

CZ does take care of you lefties.

When I purchased my P-07, a young guy was at the counter, looking for a pistol suitable for a lefty, aka ambi slide release. He began asking for anyone's opinon about the 75B/85. Needless to say, after a few minutes of telling him how accurate, reliable, and well made the CZ pistols are, he put an 85 on layaway.

Erik, that is a very nice pistol. Me thinks me wants one of them too.

Aww geez, now I've got thoughts of trading my 1911 for a 97. These threads have gotta stop.

I have been a big fan of the CZ action since way back when. I currently own a CZ-75B in .40 S&W

http://i925.photobucket.com/albums/ad97/big44man/CZ-75B.jpg

and also have a Witness in .45 ACP with the Wondra finish.

http://i925.photobucket.com/albums/ad97/big44man/Witness.jpg

Both are superbly accurate, and most importantly, they just feel right when I hold them.

Currently lusting after the Cold War CCCP model, I'll probably break down and buy it, as soon as I save up my pennies.
