Screws on the HD Scope Mount

In just the time it took me to put on/take off the HD scope mount twice, several of the mounting screws have become stripped.

Would you mind sharing the thread specs of the screw so I can grab some from the hardware store. I'm sorry but I don't want to pay $1 per screw plus shipping.

Better late than never...

I got some 8/32 thread 1/4 length. I got them with a TORX head which won't slip like a screwdriver, and it also won't strip out the head like the socket headed button screws do.

My h/w store didn't have what I wanted so I got some from McMaster Carr:
Alloy Steel Torx Button Head Socket Cap Screw 8-32 Thread, 1/4" Length, Packs of 50. Yeah, it cost a few bucks, but they work and look good too.
