View Full Version : YHM .45 ACP Cobra M2 Silencer
Just got one a few weeks back and picked up a P220 Combat to mount it on.
The silencer has a take apart baffle stack that screws out of the end along with an adjustable booster. Makes it a LOT easier to clean and maintain. I've been very happy with Yankee Hill's Silencers thus far. I just wish they'd make a take apart 223 or 308 can :)
Drool all you want, just don't short out your keyboard.

What is an "adjustable booster"? Haven't heard that phrase before.
Nielsen device - It allows the pistol to fully function and is indexed so you can rotate it to adjust the POI. Some pistols won't cycle properly without it.

Nice toys - have you taken it apart to clean it yet?

If you don't mind me asking. How back logged is YHM? My dealer has had a can on order for over a month now.

I learned the hard way - don't have your dealer order thru the can maker (mine was AAC cyclone - long wait and not good communications) have him cancel the order from the maker and just have transfered from a disributer that has it in stock. They order in large enough numbers to get a better price break than your dealer and most likely can start the Form 3 to him right now.

I decided to go with the AAC Evolution 45 for my H&K USP Compact. It also has adjustable indexing, which is a definite plus for a can. Since the BATF is so tied up with applications, it will be a long while before I get my paperwork, but I was able to fire it at my dealer's range. The indexing system definitely changes POI for the pistol, but I really don't think I will be able to use the indexing to keep it from shooting consistently low.
I was lucky and my dealer had the suppressor in stock. I also ordered an AAC Titan .338 can for my Blaser and they told me it would ship to my dealer in three weeks. Well, it took four weeks and should be at my dealer today.
This is in reply to an earlier poster who had said that AAC will promise a ship date but not follow through. Well, Mike at AAC, turned out to be a stand-up guy--a man of his word.

" have him cancel the order"
Artful, Thank You and I appreciate the info.
However my dealer is a great guy and I wouldn't feel right having him cancel orders just because of me. I will wait however long it takes. I was just trying to gauge how long the wait was going to be, because I had heard business had picked up for YHM.
Larphred: I had also heard rumor BATF is really behind now in applications.

ATFE is almost always behind the 90 days it is supposed to take once they receive the paperwork.

I'm waiting for mines right now, paid for it back in Feb. in a group buy bringing it down dirt cheap with 2 mounts.
The breaking it down was the seller for me and also the multi mounts so I can use it on a 9mm
