G1 Barrel Question

I have a G1 Barrel with FN in a circle stamp at the base and a crown with E L G. It is obvious it is not chrome lined like other military barrels. Why?

G1 barrels come in both chromed and non-chromed. STG barrels are not chromed either.

A chrome lined G-1 barrel will have the CR letters roll marked into the bottom of the lug under the front of the barrel.
