Hi,

Ive heard that the Canadian Flash Hiders offered a bit better accuracy so I'm thinking about taking the plunge.

The real question is how are they marked? Do they have all the frikking proof stamps that the Brit ones have or are they clean like the Aussie?

Thanks
Thorack

Marked- yes. On the 6 o'clock position underside at the very front. It is a stamped part number under the front tine.

Here is a pic of 2 Canadian Flashiders .. 1 is stamped with the part number , the other is not... not all Canadian Flashiders were stamped with the part number .

Picture of a British flashider and a Canadian flashider ..how you can tell the difference is the bore hole diameter if you get a non stamped Canadian flashider, compared to a British Flashider.

On Left - British bore diameter is - .373 +/-

On Right - Canadian bore diameter is - .420 +/-

I have owned a dozen or so NOS Canadian flash hiders, and only one was marked. I'll check the parts box, I may have one for you...

Doh! I went and checked the stash. Sure enough, of the 6 I have, 1/2 are stamped and 1/2 are not.

Is the thread pitch and the twist of the Canadian flash hider the same as other Commonwealth L1A1's?

Is there anyone selling Canadian Flash suppressors? I tried twice and got a Enfield marked one, then a Fazarkaley before I gave up ordering the Numrich Arms advertised suppressors.

CANADIAN FLASH HIDERS (http://gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=126118314)

Here's the right link for the Canadian flash hiders. I've bought a couple from the same seller and the parts are new.
