Just curious, Did the L1A1 that was used in The Land Down Under make any Full Auto FAL's?
I just received a L1A1 parts kit and the receiver has what I believe is a Auto sear in it.
Thanks

All military l1a1s had a safety sear but it acted to prevent firing out of battery. They all had semi selectors and semi trigger plungers preventing full auto fire.

The australians did field a heavy barrel with different sight, bipod, and full auto selector.

Also in vietnam australian troops made shorterened full auto conversions called bitch guns.

IC, So I wonder why the new receivers don't have the safety sear in them? Seems like it would be a good idea to NOT have your FAL fire out of Battery....
Not partial to out of battery BANGS myself!

Because the safety sear also makes it possible to convert the gun to full auto by simply switching out the selector and the plunger. Unless it is a g series , post sample, or pre 86 registered gun. It's probably illegal.

All u.s. semi auto receivers do not include this cut. And never will unless the pre 86 ban of civilian registration of new full auto guns goes away. Or some of the atf's definitions are changed.
