Hey guys !

I'm developing a like for SIG's GSR 1911 Carry Nitron ( commander size ) . how far are those parts compatible with other 1911's ? Do they also take different mags or std 1911 single stack ?

What's to like and not to like about SIG's 1911's ?

TYIA ,

parts are generally the same. uses standard single-stack 1911 mags.

look over at sigforum.com for lots more discussion. cliff notes is:

- early versions had issues, current crop is fine. traditional 1911 fans look down their noses at the GSR, as it is not a Wilson/Baer/Brown/Nighthawk semi-custom.

lots of folks that have them say they are sig-accurate, and use them for daily ccw.

I don't have one, but do have two P-220s and a P-229 - and a custom 1911 and a Colt Officer's Model.
