I need two sets, must be in new to as-new condition. Bipod cut preferred.

Thanks for looking!

...because new or near new are very hard to find, and few want to give them up. But they do appear from time to time.

Hopefully a set with bipod cut will come out of the dark place it is being held in soon...

I have some new DSA HGs but they just aren't the same level of robustness, you know?

I'd put the DSA's up against Imbel's or Argies. Especially since most of the bipod cut Imbel HG's I've seen..... And that's a LOT of them. Are Bakelite. Bakelite has wonderful heat resistance properties. But Bakelite or fiberglass won't take a hit like the good modern synthetics. I've seen hundreds of cracked, broken and mangled Imbel HG's. And a whole bunch of nice ones... (They're Gone). The great majority of Imbel kits that have been available in the US in the last 4-5 years are Chilean contract rifles. That's where the great majority of the HG's on the market are from.

A while back there were late model argies and Imbels that were available made of modern synthetics. Nice. But gone. The Argies are excellent quality and have the gas reg relief cut back a bit more.

Not saying the DSA's are indestructible. But they are very competitive if not superior in some respects in the quality and durability departments to both Imbels and Argies. Cooling slots are a bit bigger on DSA's and the metal has a slightly different profile.

I doubt any here have seen, touched, handled, photographed, repaired, refurbished, refinished and worked on as many Imbel HG's as I have.

But still just my .02. YMMV.

Maybe I will give another set of DSA another try. My experience is with one set of brand new Imbel bought from Sarco at Knob Creek. They look perfect on my home built DSA Para. They also feel more robust, seem to fit a little better and are definitely made if thicker material.

The DSA HGs I have are on a fixed stock Stg58. The nut stripped out of it's place and now spins with the damn screw, so it is difficult to tighten properly or to remove. The guards don't seem to fit as good and feel a little more flimsy compared to the Imbel set. These were bought at least 5 years ago, could DSA have improved them by now? I recall these were advertised as the improved ones compared to their first ones that they made and marketed.

Have you checked with SARCO to see if they might have some in stock ?
Dealers Warehouse also use to list them.
I also think the Imbel handguards are nicer than DSA. And much sturdier.
But, DSA is a U.S. part and functionally, they seem to work about as well as the Imbels.
