Hi, I understand the number of US parts required on the FAL. My question may sound silly but can an individual make his own wooden stock set and is it considered US made by the ATF and their strange world.? Also is a GI flash suppressor legal if the part number is ok?

As long as you are in the US when you make the stock set, you are good to go! I would take a few pictures of the work in progress just for proof that it was US made.

As long as you have 7 of the listed parts that are American made in your FAL, the G1 flash suppressor is fine.

You can even use foreign wood, as long as you carve it up here in the US.
