View Full Version : Bought a fal kit and have questions

First what do I have, all I know is that it's an imbel kit the barrel is chrome lines and in really good cond. I bought it locally for $200.

I could not find any markings anywhere... what type of receiver would be needed or what would be best for the easiest build.

What is needed to make a para fal. Is the gas system the same? what are the different components from a "normal" fal and a para.

That is a type III lower receiver. Aesthetically speaking, you'll need a type III to match up although any metric receiver will do.

The gas system is common to both normal and para type rifles. The differences are in the lower receiver, folding stock, bolt carrier and recoil spring set up.

Do a search, this has been covered many, many times.

Thank you for the input, ya I have the rest of the kit just didn't take a picture of it. Lastly, any idea what country it's from?
