I bought an AR 15 barrel about 2 years ago. It was a 20" heavy barrel model with FSB and barrel extension installed. At the time that was the only config available so I bought it and stashed it for later use.

I chucked it up in the lathe and trimmed it down to a medium/light profile and set the FSB back for a mid length gas system.

I then blasted, parked, and gunkoted it to match my rifle and mounted it in the upper. It was just today that I discovered that the chamber was never finish reamed. It is still short chambered.

So, now I need a finish reamer to set the proper head space. I would rather not have to spend $100 for a tool that I will need only once.

Is there another option?

Have you, or anyone that you know, ever done business with this company?

I can't recall which company I recommended Stimpy to, but a few years back he was looking for some chambering reamers and I directed him to a company that rents them.

Ask him who he used.

Buy a new reamer from Midway or Brownells for $80, then resell it for $70 when yo are done with it. Sometimes idiots on Ebay will pay more for a used tool than I did for a new one. I never have to sharpen one this way, and always have a top notch reamer when I want it.
