As near as I can tell, that opens up the board to any member to post in Marketplace without having to be specially-authorized.

Is there a "practical" way for me to police that?

I can't speak for Jen in her absence. Further, I have no information on what is going on that has led to the current circumstances.

I'm in Virginia.

Jen is in Texas (as far as I know).

You all know as much as I know. Maybe some of you know more than I know.
For anybody out there who may know more than I do, I'm all ears.

If you say you sent a contribution, I have every reason to believe you.

I think I've done all I care to venture at this point. I remain optimistic that Jen will soon be back, and much of this will get sorted out - more or less.

This is either a hobby, or its a job.

I'm doing the best I can to stay as far away from FAL Files money as I can.
I have to draw the line between hobby and job right there.

I'm not inclined to change any user-titles to "contributor" or whatever at this time.

Maybe abit off topic and as far as I know the expiration of contributor status hasn't been discussed.
I was expired for a couple mnths. before I realized it and contributed, certainly would have contributed earlier if my member info had been updated.

I don't know why Jen has been seemingly absent but she was very ill recently. W.E.G.'s latest action was something that needed to be done as a temporary stopgap.

As to the moderators patrolling MP, that's almost a full time job in itself. If you see something irregular, just click on the "Report this post to a Moderator" link. We get the notices and each one is checked out. Help be a part of the solution. (Wow that sounded like a slogan although true.)

As I said sir, I'm not trying to "bust your chops". You're one of the reasons I spend time on this board. Can't tell you how much I've learned here, and several of your "tutorials' are bookmarked as my favorites. Sad in many ways as this is one of my top two favorite boards, and couldn't begin to relate how much I've learned here. Have contributed in the past, not because it was required but because it was asked for, and it was simply the right thing to do. Once it was required, sent in $25 as I felt that was a VERY small price for the time spent and knowledge gained on this board, but never heard another word, and no response to queries. Not really much of a problem as I buy much and sell very little here, but aggravating nonetheless. I appreciate your efforts here. Regards sir. Wendell

Not in this regard. This has always been an issue, although not particullarly significant in my mind until the marketplace/contributor thing came around. People contribute, nothing happens, they complain, nothing happens, they complain, nothing happens, they complain, there is a flurry of updating, they contribute, nothing happens.
