I have a Bushmaster AR, and I would like to know if these threads are left hand or right hand? Anyone have any ideas?

Thought I better ask before I bend something important...

Thanks,
OGS

if you are looking at the barrel from the muzzle end they tighten clockwise. like driving in a woodscrew.

Thanks! That worked well on the DPMS!

Now on the Bushmaster I see a little problem. Looks like they blind pinned it in two places! sheesh:rolleyes:

The 'standard' for the AR is 1/2x28RH...

Blind pinning will slow you down...:)

However, keep in mind that you can put whatever threads you want, within reason, on the barrel...

For example, I just threaded a barrel for an AR of my own 9/16x24LH, just so I could use a muzzle device that was already threaded that way...

So some care when removing the muzzle device on a new rifle that you've picked up is always prudent even without any evidence of silver soldering, welding or blind pins...
