I have owned a Burris Black Diamond 30mm scope for 7 years now..very pleased with it and have been looking at the Burris XTR Tactical 3x12-50 as well..saw one for $799.00 and noticed it is quite a bit less expensive then the comparable Leupold tactical Mark lV scopes..I understand that both are made here in the U.S. and was hoping to hear from anyone who has one or used one..

I have been using one for about a year. Great scope with lots of adjustment. Mine's on a 308 and have shot p. dogs at 600 yards using the mil dots, works great. Good clear image that's very sharp.

like to put one on a 308 remington 700P or SPS possibly
I have used my black diamond on a variety of 308's over the years and consider Burris a VERY fine scope for the $..especially the ones built here in the U.S. like these tacticals, euro's etc..Leupold Mark IV's are out of my range..seems they are nearly as pricey as European glass like Zeiss, Swarovski etc..I had my Black Diamond right next to a Schmidt&Bender and consider the view thru each almost equivalent
