Any of you guys shoot this monster. I've been hankerin' to get over to
the other end of the range and and ring the bell. This would be a 300+
yds gun and I could shoot by myself.

Kiddo,
You can do 300yds with a .223, or just about anything.
What up, man? :?

you must have a lot of spare cash laying around.
brass alone is a small fortune, not including the amount of powder for the end results.

try looking at a 338 edge, or even just a plain ole 338 rum, both will run almost as as fast, but, i think the edge will run with a 338-378 wby.

for a lot less money.....

you also need to choose the action wisely, a remmy can be made to handle it, but the bolt will be very thin, around the edge's due to how large the rim is.

try a lazzorani (sp?) titan, iir the ballistics, it leaves the 338-378 in the dust.
bout 2 bucks or so per case, and eats lots of powder as well.

I'll use the Carlos Hathcock method, One Shot every week. I can afford it
though, I feed my FN SPRA1 Gold Medal Match. The Mark V action seems
to be the best choice. What would be a good barrel. What about a Badger
one piece mount like the one on my SPR. The rifle in the auction ain't
for me.
